At the Hot Springs Rehabilitation Center in Hot Springs, Garland County, Arkansas, 150 students are receiving vocational training and therapy. Disabled students study various professions, including office work and mechanical work, such watch making and repair. Patricia Nelson of Benton, Saline County, Arkansas, was accidentally shot eight years ago and paralyzed from the waist down. In the year-long course she is taking she studies typing, shorthand, spelling, accounting, and other business machines. Nelson plans to become a private secretary. The Rehabilitation Center is in the old Army-Navy Hospital, which was given to the state of Arkansas by the United States Government.
